 Black Widows Baseball Club NEWS!

8/22/2009

Team Members:

Attached is a Flyer (CLICK HERE) outlining our Team Event for next Friday (8/29/09) at Laser Quest.

Last Year we went as a team and it turned out to be a most memorable night.......and we only went for 2 hours and $20 covered 2 games including Pizza and Beverages.

This Year we have decided to go "ALL NIGHT".

The cumulative effect of this event will most likely be a 16-20 Hour period where you will not see your "loved ones."

We are keeping them busy for 12 straight hours, and then they most likely will "Crash Out" most of the day on Saturday.

So consider it a two day deal for the price of one or just simply call it the "Best Babysitting Service" ever!

ALL FOR ONLY $40.00 PER PLAYER OR SIBLING!

This includes as many laser tag games as they can play in 6 and a half hours, Midnight Snack of Pizza and Beverages, Early AM energizer of Donuts and Beverages, and we will have bottled water on hand thru the Morning Hours.....they will be tired....maybe even exhausted by the time this is over.

We will not cover any costs of playing the Video and Arcade games at the facility.

Players can bring a sleeping bag, and we will have a room set aside for those people who need to "nap" sometime that night, and those needing rest will be monitored by Jeff or Myself as we will be sitting out every other laser tag game. All Six assistant Coaches are expected to join us for the evening as well.

We are inviting Siblings as well, as long as they are 9 years old..............so not only can you "pawn" off one of your precious ones but maybe your whole household as well.

We would encourage everyone to consider joining us next Friday....it will be an event to Remember!

We will need a "head" count by Friday afternoon, so please RSVP, and let me know how many will be attending......you can pay me at Practice or at the door that evening.

An update to our current schedule for this weekend.

All Scrimmage Games will be on Saturday, August 8th There will be no games/practice on Sunday August 9th.

The 11U Team will play at 9:00am and 11:30am

The 12U Team will play at 1:30pm and 4:00pm

All players will have the opportunity to play in at least (2) games on Saturday depending upon your availability.

Please email your availability to Kurt by 8/6/09, Thursday evening.

Lineups will be posted after 1:00pm on Friday 8/7/2009 on the website under the SCHEDULES section..

The August through September schedules have been updated and are posted on the webiste. Please be aware the next (45) days have the most potential to change due to additional scrimmages and/or field availability, so check emails and website closely between now and September 13, 2009.

Next Friday, 8/14/2009, Parents and Players are invited to a Team gathering at Ballpark Pizza in RSM from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Players food and Beverages will be covered by BWBBC. Parents and any additional family members are on your own.

August payments are due by Wednesday the 5th, and considered late after that with a late fee that will be applied to the account. So Far, if yesterday was the 5th, (20) players would incur late Fees. You can mail the payment to 8 El Corazon, RSM 92688 or drop it by in an envelope in the Ceramic Jar outside the Door marked "IN".

Next Schedules will be completed thru the end of the Season by or on Labor Day. 11U Tournament tentatively scheduled for 9/19-20/2009 at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.

7/7/2009

The Black Widows lick off practice this weekend at Arroyo Vista Park on Saturday at 9:00am.

Both teams will train together over the next month (just like last year) and then be split into their respective teams on/after the scrimmages on 8/8/09 and 8/9/09.

Schedules for the balance of August and our tournament schedule will be put out by the end of this month (July).

League schedules and balance of practice schedule (September thru November) will be put out late August or as soon as the leagues give me our game schedules.

Please don't rearrange your vacation schedules this summer to make workouts, just let me know in advance your schedules for days missed.

We will begin training at MVP Sports beginning in mid to late August (next schedules).

I am holding off on that portion of the uniform order until after July 19th.

If you have not paid the registration fee and uniform fee of $250, please make arrangements to do so ASAP.

I would also like to print out Team Rosters with contact info soon, but I still don't have all the forms back yet.

Coach Jeff and the High School players will be running this weekend's sessions.

Lastly, we will have sample vests and shorts available to try on at practices beginning July 15th.

If I need to add any additional email addresses to this list, please contact me.
