Our Goal as a Youth Baseball Organization is to provide a positive environment
for players to reach their full potential as a baseball player and community leader
through these key areas:
- Baseball Knowledge of “The Game”
- Fundamental Baseball Skills
- Physical Strength Development
- Personal Character
- Team Play
- Winning Attitude
We believe positive reinforcement, aggressive practice, repetition, and a good
understanding of baseball strategy, provide the proper environment for the team to
play the game aggressively, while helping them make split second offensive and
defensive decisions needed during a game. While no boy is ever born with innate
“Baseball Instincts”, we believe this program will produce players who act
instinctively rather than react a step late when the game is on the line. This will
translate to their ability to be able to act quickly, correctly and confidently both on
and off the field.
We appreciate and value every parent and their personal commitment and sacrifice
to their player’s baseball life. Parents and coaches are essential to the overall
success and positive experience of every player, and this organization. We
maintain a high level of accountability within the organization between the parents,
coaches, and our players. Club baseball is not recreational, Pony, or Little League
baseball. Our coaches are committed to your players overall development and
success. Teaching the game and character development are Priority One! Playing
time is never guaranteed. While the coaching staff will make every effort to find
playing time in game situations for every player, the goal of every game is to
attempt to win. The responsibility of the coaching staff is to put the best product,
(team) on the field that gives the team the best chance to win. Every member of
this organization will demonstrate and hold every one else accountable to the
highest standard of respect and positive support for every coach, parent and
player within the organization. Negative talk about anyone or any decision cannot
be tolerated. There is a proper forum for handling these issues out of the public
arena. Every coach has a responsibility to be available for a one on one
conversation any time that is most appropriate for all parties involved.
We believe in a 24 hour cooling off period before addressing any coach
or parent about any uncomfortable issue. Playing time is not a topic of any conversation. Player development is a topic of continuous conversation.
Our philosophy is:
“Coaches Coach, Parents Support, Kids have Fun and Grow”!
The Black Widows have teams in age divisions:
9U 10U, 11U and 13U at this time.
We will continue to strive to field a competitive product (teams) in Southern
California competing in USSSA, Super Series, USTBA, AAU, and CCYB.
We continue to look for ways to improve our organization and appreciate
your input and support. |
